Introducing Plains Locator

Plains Locator is now live, offering the same service that Prairie Locator offers but for Public Land Survey System (PLSS) locations within the following States:

  • Colorado
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Minnesota
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • North Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • South Dakota

If you know of any friends, family or businesses that could benefit from this service, I would appreciate the help in spreading the word.

Welcome to Prairie Locator

Prairie Locator has grown a lot since it was first launched in September, 2009.

More and more users, from oil field workers to emergency service workers and first responders, rely on our service every day to help them perform their duties. Today, with the launch of our new website, we will be making it easier for them and supporting more users than ever before.

We have two tiers of plans:

  • Basic
  • Professional

Our basic plan is for users that only need information on full Sections. In addition, RM information is now available for all Sections and you can now star a location and add custom notes for quick lookups. Custom notes are great for flagging different job-sites and recalling them with a click at a later time.

With the Professional plan, you have access to all the features of the Basic plan, as well as support for Half Sections, Quarter Sections and Subdivisions. RM information is also available for Half Sections and Quarter Sections.

All accounts will start with a 7-day trial of the Professional plan. This will allow you to try all the features and determine what you actually need.

I also want to take a moment to talk about our iOS app. The iOS app will continue to function just as it always has. As of today, it is being treated as a separate product from the website. If you are currently using the iOS app, nothing has changed. If you purchase the iOS app today, please note that there is a difference in features between the two. Down the road I will be aligning these two products but I am not there yet.

As always, if you have any questions, feedback, feature requests or spot a bug, please drop me an email at support@prairielocator.com.

Thank you for your continued support through the years,

Mike
